Mercia Tang Soo Do opened its doors on the 12th September 2006, originally as part of the World Tang Soo Do Association Great Britain, originally known as Coventry North East Tang Soo Do . In January 2014 left the WTSDA to became a independent Martial arts school and adopted the name Mercia Tang Soo Do shortly after. In 2015 the martial arts school became a affiliated part of the ITO (Intercontinental Tang Soo Do Organisation) under Grandmaster Dominick Giacobbe 9th Dan
